Walt Whitman Elementary School erupted with energy on Friday, June 5th, as students and staff celebrated the highly anticipated Field Day 2026.

For weeks, physical education teachers Ms. Ciaramitaro, Ms. O'Donnell, and Ms. Bartolotta prepared and energized the students for an action-packed lineup of events. Competition was fierce across the Red, White, and Blue teams in favorites like the Potato Sack Race, Race Track Relay, Cup Stack Relay, Ball Hug, Soccer Relay, 40-Yard Dash, Fill the Bucket, and the perennial crowd-pleaser, Tug-O-War.

The festivities kicked off with a high-energy ceremony featuring a special appearance by the beloved Wolverine Mascot. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of the PTA, a live DJ kept the momentum going with upbeat music all day, while they supplied delicious lunches and snacks to keep everyone fueled.

After a day filled with incredible team spirit and intense excitement, the Blue Team officially took home the victory! Congratulations to all participants for making Field Day 2026 a massive success.
