Baylis Students Explore our Marine Environment

Baylis' second grade students visited the WaterFront Center in Oyster Bay to learn about our marine environment.  Students learned about sea life, the water cycle, Earth materials, and conservation through a variety of hands-on activities.  Some favorites with Ms. Aschenbrenner's students included the touch tank, seining (catching marine life with a long net), using microscopes, and playing "The Incredible Journey."  It was great to see how the activities aligned themselves with our new science program.
