Virtual Enterprise Wins Big in Recent Competitions!
Syosset Business Students Take First Place in the Virtual Adelphi Apprentice Competition
On Friday, November 13th, seven Syosset business education students competed as a team in the Annual Virtual Adelphi Apprentice Competition and won first place! The competition was hosted by Adelphi University and sponsored by Jovia Financial. Twenty-six teams from schools all across Long Island competed in the annual competition and were tasked with creating a marketing plan for Jovia Financial. The focus of the marketing plan was to convince parents to open accounts for their children with the credit union. Our students used their skills and knowledge learned in our business classes to create a powerful Prezi presentation and deliver it seamlessly via Zoom with half the team located in the school building while the rest of the team presented from home. Students presented to the Chief Executive Officer of Jovia Financial as well as their Chief Marketing Officer and other members from their management team. Syosset's team consisted of Project Manager Brian Chou, Kyle Dapice, Matthew Kellner, Natalie Obedian, Lauren Rogers, Ali Rosenberg and Ivy Xu.
