Model UN is a club where students conduct research and adopt the persona of a delegate representing a specified country to engage in real-world simulations.
After weeks of conducting research, HBT's Model UN club began its first simulation activity! In this simulation, students were assigned a country to conduct research upon. They then utilized this information to adopt the perspective of an individual representing that nation.
As delegates from various countries, students are in the process of collaborating with one another and engaging in various forms of debates and discussions in order to reach a resolution to be passed regarding the topic of free speech. In the midst of their efforts, they also have to adapt to fictional "crises" occurring which disrupt and influence the conversations. We are excited to see the results of this student-led endeavor!
