34 DECA Qualifiers for the International Career Development Conference!
Syosset DECA recently returned from the New York State DECA competition in Rochester, New York, where they competed against over 2,500 other students in a wide array of events relating to marketing, finance, hospitality, and business management and administration. Syosset High School sent a total of 92 students to compete and returned with 51 top 10 finishers and 34 qualifiers for the International Career Development Conference in Orlando, Florida.
The 2nd place qualifiers include Joshua Baby and Seth Marcus, Sarah Schwartzberg, Malini Rudra and Avneet Chhabra, Rayyan Nabi, Albert Shabaev, Ronit Dhulia, Jesse Levitan, Brian Gao and Angela Mao, Aayush Turakhia, Vikram Anand and Sayan Varma, and Tiffany Wu and Maya Panchal. The 1st place qualifiers were Tiffany Liu and Natalie Iammarino, Eric Liang and Lauren So, Maiya Raghu and Emma Goetz, and Rajat Shah, Blake Sanford and Jack Chen. Their success could not have been possible without advisor Glenn Baumann, the wonderful chaperones who accompanied them to Rochester, and the entire business education department. Congratulations to the entire team and we wish them luck as they prepare for ICDC!
