Three Syosset Students Recognized as Presidential Scholar Candidates

Three Syosset High School students have been named 2021 U.S. Presidential Scholar Candidates. Seniors Anoushka Dalvi, Lara Weinberg and Kevin Zhao were recognized by the U.S. Presidential Scholar Program for their exceptional performances on the SAT or ACT exams.

Anoushka, Lara and Kevin are among the over 4,500 students who will have the opportunity apply to become U.S. Presidential Scholars, one of the nation’s highest honors for high school students. Application is by invitation only and candidates are selected based on their academic, artistic and technical accomplishments.

Established in 1964, the U.S. Presidential Scholar Program recognizes excellence in education and honors some of the nation’s most distinguished graduating high school seniors. Approximately 600 Semi-Finalists will be announced in April. Up to 161 U.S. Presidential Scholars will be selected and announced in May.
