38 SHS Students Named National Merit Commended Students

The Syosset Central School District is pleased to announce that 38 Syosset High School seniors have been named Commended Students in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Congratulations to Kirin Anand, Autumn Avery, Tejas Chandakkar, Jennie Dapice, Harrison Feusi, Aryan Ghotra, Jake Greenberg, Benjamin Guttman, Casey Ha, Aaron Hafkin, Elsie Ho, Joshua Hong, Pooja Huded, Michelle Jin, Jimin Jun, Samuel Kanterman, Kieran Kelly, Daniel Kong, James Kramer, Mark Lau, Kevin Li, Eric Liang, Trinity Liang, Cheryl Lien, Kenneth Lin, Kiersten Louie, Brian Oh, Irene Park, Maiya Raghu, Yashraj Sinha, Eugene Song, Maxwell Spiller, Unzel Tariq, Angela Wang, Michael Yan, Michelle Yang, Julianne Yuen, and Andrew Zhang.

These students are among 34,000 high performers on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. They placed among the top 50,000 scorers of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2021 competition. Each Commended Student will receive Letters of Commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation in recognition of their outstanding potential and academic promise.
