Ramadan And Eid Brown Bag

Ramadan And Eid Brown Bag

South Grove was proud to host a special Brown Bag, “Ramandan and Eid.” Four South Grove moms presented this engaging and enriching Brown Bag opportunity for second graders. A Brown Bag is an interest-based alternative to traditional recess activities. They are offered on a variety topics throughout the year, as one aspect of our Schoolwide Enrichment Program.

Many second grade students chose to attend this Brown Bag during their lunch/recess period. Interested students received a ticket to attend this optional experience and the children of the presenters received special VIP passes. They enjoyed lunch together while the presenters explained how these holidays are celebrated by many of our South Grove families. Then students had a chance to engage in paper marbling, which is a traditional Turkish craft, as well as have their hand decorated with henna art.

All of the participants enjoyed themselves and were enriched by this special cultural experience!
