FCS 7th grade students at Southwoods participated, as part of their sustainability unit, in the first ever Compostable Car Competition. Students worked in teams of 2 to 4 to design and create a car made entirely from compostable items. Winners were chosen based on the following three categories: Goes the Distance, Best Use of Materials, and Creative Design. This project required students to take risks, innovate, and build skills and mindsets needed for life.
