Trivia Challenge raises money for Cerebral Palsy

The South Woods Annual Trivia Challenge has officially come to a come. Thirty students participated in this contest sponsored by Mr. Ryan's Chess and Strategy Games club and raised several hundred dollars for the Cerebral Palsy Association. In Eight years of participation South Woods has brought home eight first place finishes. The four top scorers in each grade group go onto the county championships at the CP Center in Roosevelt competing against schools from all over Nassau County. This year's top scorers from the 6th grade are Steven Bender, Arthur Kaplan, Sean Yang and Nikhil Shah. These team is going for a 4-peat as South Woods has won the last three years in a row. Our 7th & 8th team is composed of Marcus Hoshino, Sam Wang, Krishiv Shah and Jesse Lebolt. South Woods is proud of our teams and their success but even more proud of all the participants who have contributed thousands of dollars to help those with have a more healthy, happy and full life as possible. Congratulations to our winners and all the participants.6th Grade Team
