Syosset Central School District
participates in the National Child Nutrition Program. Whitsons is the food service provider for Syosset. Our goal is to serve nutritious, well-balanced meals that appeal to students and the school community that meet the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program requirements.
Syosset Central School District offers healthy meals to students every school day. New York State will begin offering a universal free meals program in the 25-26 school year, which provides one free breakfast and one free lunch meal to all students in the district. Please be aware that this program does not include snacks, second meals or any other a-la carte items.
Families are still strongly encouraged to complete and submit the Free and Reduced-Price application as this form is used to determine eligibility benefits for State and federal funding/programs.
Should you have any questions or concerns regarding food services please reach out to Karen Ball, Whitsons, Food Service Director for Syosset, by phone at 516-364-5849 or by email.
