3340 ALGEBRA I CCSS
The critical areas of this course deepen and extend the students' understanding of linear and exponential relationships by contrasting these relationships with each other and by applying mathematical models to data that exhibit a linear trend. Students will engage in methods for analyzing, solving, and using quadratic functions. Students will master the solution of linear equations and apply related solution techniques and the laws of exponents to the creation and solution of exponential equations. Students also expand their experience with functions to include more specialized functions such as absolute value, step, and piecewise-defined. The CCSS Regents examination for Algebra I will be administered in June.
