We in Walt Whitman, working as a team, parents and educators, strive to develop a program to meet the needs of each child. These needs encompass pride in one's self, respect for others, concern about the immediate community, awareness of the larger world and the fostering of intellectual curiosity with the development of academic skills that meet the New York State Common Core Learning Standards.
