The Kindergarten and First Grade students had a 100th Day celebration on Tuesday, Feb. 13th. The students and faculty decided to dress as if they were 100 years old. The boys and girls also wore special hats that were in the shape of 100. The students participated in a celebration as they each held a number through 100. They sang songs, counted by 1s, 5s and 10s.. They each came up to the display, proudly holding their number to place on the 100 display. Our Mascot, Grover also participated in the festivities. The students at South Grove collected 100 objects and thought of many creative ways to display them. Some decided to turn 100 gems into a giant ring, 100 stickers into a smiley face or 100 legs for a caterpillar. 100 straws were even turned into a robot. The students shared their special 100th day project on the day of the celebration. It has been a fun filled 100 days at South Grove!
