A smoke alarm was triggered in the boiler room at Baylis Elementary. As a precaution, students in the SCOPE Program were relocated to Berry Hill Elementary.

Update - 6:00 p.m.
District personnel and the furnace/boiler company have completed their tests of building systems at Baylis Elementary and have resolved the mechanical issue that caused the alarm to trigger. The building will open as normal tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017.

Update - 4:15 p.m.
The Fire Department has determined that the building is safe to reoccupy and has left the scene. District personnel are conducting inspections of all the building systems as a precaution.
