This year, the theme at Baylis Elementary is to “Make The World A Better Place.” This fall Mrs. Greiner introduced the theme to students during a schoolwide read aloud of the book, “Only One You” by Linda Kranz, whose uniquely painted “rock fish” and honest insights were used to inspire students and faculty to collaboratively paint their own “rock fish” to express their uniqueness. Furthermore, students and staff jointly created an “Only One You” rock garden. As students and staff placed the rocks in the garden, students were asked to share a thought about the unique qualities represented by their rocks. You can visit our colorful rock garden as you enter the Baylis main entrance. We are hopeful that it will inspire you to “Make The World A Better Place.”
