On Friday, April 7, 2017, the fifth-grade Ambassadors welcomed three new students who had recently joined Baylis Elementary School:  second grader Sam Awadalla, kindergartener Christina Dai and fourth grader Sara Nasheed. Baylis Ambassadors worked cooperatively on their chromebooks using Google Classroom to create a “Welcome to Baylis” card filled with information about the school’s activities.  They presented the new students with a Baylis tote bag containing many useful items including a folder, pen, pencil, eraser, highlighter, stickers, bookmarks, and a key ring with mini-charts on the playground rules, bus safety rules, and “Before You Speak, THINK.” The newcomers were happy to be welcomed in such a personal way.  From the smiles on their faces, they are thrilled to have new friends and mentors at Baylis!
