Syosset High School hosted its annual Student Government carnival to kick off Homecoming 2016 and Spirit Week. The carnival consisted of various student clubs and organizations manning booths to fundraise for student activities at the high school. Community members also enjoyed traditional carnival rides and games. The weather and turnout made the three-day event a great success!

The school’s Association of Creative Thespians performed their annual Bard-a-Thon, reciting the works of William Shakespeare throughout the day which included a stage combat scene from Macbeth and performances from The Empire Striketh Back, a play based on the initial Star Wars trilogy episode written in Shakespearean style. The Robotics Club held a demonstration as well, programming their robots to perform basketball drills.
