Top Honors at Business Challenge

A team comprised of Syosset High School business students Isabelle Bukary, Alyssa Casale and Josh Thomas placed first out of 30 teams in the Plainview-Old Bethpage Business Challenge on Oct. 23. The annual competition brings together the top business students from across Long Island to demonstrate the marketing and entrepreneurial skills they learn in class. This year, students were asked to create a business plan for a new restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia, that uses locally sourced, organic products.

The students are pictured here displaying their first-place award as they are congratulated by Syosset HS Principal Dr. Giovanni Durante and business teachers Matt Fiasconaro and Kathleen Goldin.
