Insight into Yale and College Life

Syosset High School recently welcomed Yale University Assistant Director for Undergraduate Admissions James Kim, who gave an evening presentation in the school auditorium for students and parents. Kim covered topics ranging from admissions criteria to financial aid, stressed the importance of enrolling in courses that touch on multiple disciplines of study, and provided tips for ensuring a well-balanced and happy college life. He answered student and parent questions and was available for informal chats following the program.

About 85 students and parents were in attendance, including families from neighboring school districts, as the program was open to all. Pictured is Kim with Syosset High School counselors Jennifer Saia (left) and Jessica Rosenberg, coordinators of his visit.
